Omeplus 20mg Capsule

Omeplus 20mg Capsule, made by Standpharm (paramount), is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid. Its active ingredient is Esomeprazole 20mg, and it is used for acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, stomach and duodenal ulcers, H. pylori infection and ulcers caused by painkillers. Uses of Omeplus 20mg Capsule

Omeplus 20mg Capsule is used to treat acid reflux and heartburn, to heal inflammation of the food pipe (oesophagitis), and to treat and prevent stomach and duodenal ulcers, including ulcers linked to painkillers such as NSAIDs. Together with antibiotics, it is used to clear Helicobacter pylori infection. It is also used for conditions that make too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

How Omeplus 20mg Capsule works

Esomeprazole switches off the proton pumps in the stomach lining that release acid. Less acid allows the food pipe and stomach lining to heal and relieves burning and pain.

• Long-term use can lower magnesium and vitamin B12 levels and may slightly increase the risk of bone fractures, so use it for as long as your doctor advises.
