Desmopressin 0.2 Tablet contains Desmopressin, a synthetic antidiuretic hormone. Made by Atco Laboratories Ltd, it is prescribed for bedwetting, diabetes insipidus, night-time urination and some bleeding disorders. Pack size: 30 tablets.

Uses of Desmopressin 0.2 Tablet

Desmopressin 0.2 Tablet is used to reduce the amount of urine the body makes. It treats bedwetting in children, cranial diabetes insipidus (a condition causing extreme thirst and large amounts of urine), and frequent night-time urination in adults. Injection and nasal forms are also used in hospital for some bleeding disorders such as mild haemophilia A and von Willebrand disease.

How Desmopressin 0.2 Tablet works

Desmopressin is a man-made version of vasopressin, the body’s natural antidiuretic hormone. It acts on the kidneys so they reabsorb more water, making urine more concentrated and smaller in volume. It also raises clotting factor VIII levels in the blood.
