Uses of Nelizamet 4mg/500mg Tablet

Nelizamet 4mg/500mg Tablet is used to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes when diet, exercise and metformin alone are not enough. Precautions and warnings

• Do not take Nelizamet 4mg/500mg Tablet if you have heart failure or a history of heart failure, and tell your doctor about any heart disease, as rosiglitazone can cause fluid retention.
• Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, or drink alcohol heavily, as these increase the risk of lactic acidosis.
• Your doctor may ask you to stop it temporarily before surgery or before X-ray tests that use iodine contrast dye.
• It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding; insulin is usually preferred, so speak to your doctor.
• Rosiglitazone has been linked to an increased risk of bone fractures, especially in women, and rarely to swelling at the back of the eye; report any change in vision.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
