Uses of Clobederm-NN Ointment

Clobederm-NN Ointment is used for short-term treatment of severe, stubborn inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis when they are also infected, or likely to become infected, with bacteria or yeast (candida). It is a very strong steroid preparation and should only be used on skin a doctor has examined, for the time prescribed.

How Clobederm-NN Ointment works

Each ingredient has its own job. Clobetasol propionate is a very potent corticosteroid that quickly reduces redness, swelling and itching. Neomycin is an antibiotic that kills many bacteria on the skin, and nystatin is an antifungal that treats candida (yeast) infections.

Possible side effects

Used briefly as directed, Clobederm-NN Ointment is usually well tolerated, but it can cause:

• Burning or stinging
• Itching or irritation
• Skin thinning with longer use
• Stretch marks
• Lighter or darker patches of skin

Storage
