Uses of Zezot Inj

Its short course, often three to five days, makes it convenient.

How Zezot Inj works

Azithromycin stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply. It builds up in body tissues and stays there for several days, which is why a short course keeps working after the last dose.

Possible side effects

Common side effects of Zezot Inj include:

• Diarrhoea or loose stools
• Nausea or vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Headache

Get medical help straight away if you notice a fast or irregular heartbeat, fainting, yellowing of the skin or eyes, a severe rash, or swelling of the face or throat.

Precautions and warnings

• Tell your doctor if you have heart rhythm problems, low potassium or magnesium, or liver disease.
• Let your doctor know about other medicines you take, as some interact with azithromycin.
• Keep a gap between Zezot Inj and antacids containing aluminium or magnesium.
• Complete the full course exactly as prescribed.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use it only on your doctor’s advice.

Store as directed on the pack, protected from light. Injections should only be prepared and given by a doctor, nurse or other trained healthcare professional. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
