Amclav 375 Tablets contains Co-amoxiclav (Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid), a penicillin antibiotic combined with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Uses of Amclav 375 Tablets

Amclav 375 Tablets is used for bacterial infections that may not respond to amoxicillin alone, including sinusitis, middle ear infections, chest infections and pneumonia, urinary tract infections, dental abscesses, skin and soft tissue infections, and infected animal or human bites.

How Amclav 375 Tablets works

Amoxicillin kills bacteria by breaking down their cell wall, while clavulanic acid stops bacterial enzymes from destroying amoxicillin, widening the range of bacteria it can treat.

Common side effects of Amclav 375 Tablets include:

• Diarrhoea
• Nausea or vomiting
• Skin rash
• Thrush (fungal infection)

Precautions and warnings

• Do not take it if you are allergic to penicillin or have had liver problems with this medicine before.

• Finish the full course your doctor prescribes, even if you feel better earlier. Stopping early can let the infection return and makes resistance more likely.
