Uses of Yutopar 10mg Tablet

Yutopar 10mg Tablet is used in hospital to delay premature labour in women whose contractions have started too early. Holding off delivery for a short time can allow steroid injections to help the baby’s lungs mature, or allow transfer to a hospital with neonatal intensive care. It is not suitable for every pregnancy, and many hospitals now prefer other medicines.

How Yutopar 10mg Tablet works

Ritodrine stimulates beta-2 receptors in the muscle of the womb, causing it to relax. This reduces the strength and frequency of contractions, which can delay delivery for a short period. Because similar receptors exist in the heart and blood vessels, it also tends to raise the heart rate.
