Uses of Wnsdinir 100mg Capsule

Wnsdinir 100mg Capsule is used to treat a range of mild to moderate bacterial infections. These include sore throat and tonsillitis, sinusitis, middle ear infections in children, bronchitis and pneumonia caught in the community, and uncomplicated skin infections. It is available as capsules and as a suspension for children. Like other antibiotics, it will not help colds, flu or other viral illnesses.

How Wnsdinir 100mg Capsule works

Cefdinir belongs to the cephalosporin family. It prevents bacteria from completing their cell wall, so the cells become weak and burst. Because it is fairly stable against some of the enzymes bacteria use to resist antibiotics, it works against a broad range of common germs.

Possible side effects

Wnsdinir 100mg Capsule is usually well tolerated. When side effects do occur, the most common are:

• Diarrhoea or loose stools
• Nausea
• Stomach pain
• Headache
• Vaginal itching or thrush
• Mild skin rash

Stop and get medical help for swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, a severe rash, or severe or bloody diarrhoea.

Precautions and warnings

• Tell your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction to penicillin, cephalosporins or any other antibiotic.

• Iron supplements and antacids containing aluminium or magnesium can reduce how well it is absorbed, so ask your pharmacist how to space them.
