Uses of Asunra 400mg Tablet Dispersible

Asunra 400mg Tablet Dispersible is used to remove excess iron from the body in people who receive frequent blood transfusions, such as children and adults with beta-thalassaemia major, and in some people with other anaemias. Without treatment, extra iron builds up in the heart, liver and hormone glands and can cause serious damage. It is taken by mouth and monitored by a specialist.

How Asunra 400mg Tablet Dispersible works

Deferasirox binds tightly to iron in the body to form a complex that can be removed. This complex is passed out mainly in the faeces, gradually lowering the amount of stored iron.
