Azobar 200/5ml Suspension is a suspension made by Ferozsons Laboratories Limited that contains Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic. It is used for throat and tonsil infections, chest infections, pneumonia, sinusitis, ear infections, typhoid fever, skin infections and some sexually transmitted infections. Pack size: 15 ml.

Uses of Azobar 200/5ml Suspension

Azobar 200/5ml Suspension is used for bacterial infections of the throat, tonsils, sinuses, ears and chest, including bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia. It is also used for skin infections, some sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, and in Pakistan it is often prescribed for typhoid fever. Its short course, often three to five days, makes it convenient.

How Azobar 200/5ml Suspension works

Azithromycin stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply. It builds up in body tissues and stays there for several days, which is why a short course keeps working after the last dose.

• Diarrhoea or loose stools
• Nausea or vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Headache
