Uses of Gaviscon Advance Liquid 120ml

Gaviscon Advance Liquid 120ml is used to relieve heartburn, acid reflux and indigestion, including heartburn after meals or when lying down. It is often chosen for heartburn during pregnancy. It gives symptom relief, but does not treat an underlying cause, so persistent or troublesome symptoms should be checked by a doctor.

How Gaviscon Advance Liquid 120ml works

Sodium alginate reacts with stomach acid to form a thick gel that floats on top of the stomach contents like a raft. This raft helps stop acid rising into the food pipe. The antacid part, such as sodium bicarbonate or calcium carbonate, neutralises some of the acid.

Gaviscon Advance Liquid 120ml rarely causes side effects. A few people notice:
