Macrocid 250mg Tablet is used for bacterial infections of the chest, throat, tonsils, sinuses and ears, and for skin and soft tissue infections. It is also an important part of combination treatment, together with other medicines, to clear Helicobacter pylori, the stomach bacteria linked to peptic ulcers.
How Macrocid 250mg Tablet works
Clarithromycin attaches to the part of the bacteria that makes proteins and stops it working, so the bacteria cannot grow or multiply.
