Psoriderm Oil. 120ml is an oil for scalp psoriasis. It is a dispensing preparation that contains lPC (coal tar solution) 6%, salicylic acid 3%, clobetasol 0.025% and dithranol 0.1% in hair oil base. Pack size: 120ml.
Uses of Psoriderm Oil. 120ml
Psoriderm Oil. 120ml is used for scalp psoriasis. Use it exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has advised, and do not use it for longer than recommended.
Ingredients
LPC (coal tar solution) 6%, salicylic acid 3%, clobetasol 0.025% and dithranol 0.1% in hair oil base.
How Psoriderm Oil. 120ml works
Coal tar slows down the rapid growth of skin cells that causes scaling, and it has anti-itch and mild antiseptic effects. This reduces flaking, redness and itching over a few weeks of regular use.
Clobetasol reduces inflammation, redness and itching by calming the immune response in the skin.
Dithranol slows down the overproduction of skin cells that causes the thick, scaly plaques of psoriasis. It also has anti-inflammatory effects, so with regular use over several weeks the plaques gradually flatten and clear, often leaving temporary staining behind.
Salicylic acid is a keratolytic, which means it loosens the bonds holding dead skin cells together so they shed more easily. This softens hard, thickened skin such as warts and corns, removes scales and helps unclog pores in acne. It also has mild anti-inflammatory properties.
