Uses of Trusopt 0.02 Eye Drop

Trusopt 0.02 Eye Drop eye drops are used to lower raised pressure inside the eye in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. They are usually prescribed when a single type of drop has not lowered the pressure enough. Keeping eye pressure under control helps protect the optic nerve and prevent gradual, permanent loss of vision.

How Trusopt 0.02 Eye Drop works

Dorzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor and timolol is a beta-blocker. Each reduces the amount of fluid (aqueous humour) the eye produces, but in a different way, so together they lower eye pressure more than either drop alone.

Possible side effects
