Uses of Tofajak 5mg Tablet

Tofajak 5mg Tablet is used to treat moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and ulcerative colitis, usually when other treatments such as methotrexate or biologic medicines have not worked well enough or are unsuitable. It helps reduce joint pain, swelling and stiffness, or bowel inflammation, and can slow damage over time.

Tofacitinib blocks Janus kinase (JAK) enzymes inside immune cells. These enzymes pass on signals from cytokines, the chemical messengers that drive inflammation. By interrupting this signalling, tofacitinib calms the overactive immune response behind these conditions.
