Osicom-D Tablet is a supplement used to support bone health when calcium and vitamin D are needed in extra amounts. How Osicom-D Tablet works

Ossein mineral complex is made from bone and contains calcium and phosphate in a natural bone-like form, along with collagen and other proteins found in bone. Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) helps the gut absorb calcium and supports its use in building and maintaining strong bones.

Possible side effects

Most people take Osicom-D Tablet without any trouble. Occasionally it may cause:

• Constipation
• Mild stomach discomfort
• Nausea
• Bloating

Seek medical advice if you develop persistent nausea or vomiting, excessive thirst, passing large amounts of urine, confusion or pain in the side or back, as these can be signs of high calcium levels or kidney stones.

Precautions and warnings

• Tell your doctor if you have high blood calcium, kidney stones, severe kidney disease or sarcoidosis.
• Take it a few hours apart from iron tablets, thyroxine and antibiotics such as tetracyclines or ciprofloxacin, as calcium can reduce their absorption.
• Avoid combining it with other calcium or vitamin D products unless your doctor advises it, to prevent taking too much.
• It is commonly used in pregnancy and breastfeeding, but check with your doctor first.
• Ossein is of animal (bovine) origin; ask your pharmacist if this is a concern for you.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
