Niaquin 500mg Tablet is used for bacterial infections such as community-acquired pneumonia, flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, sinusitis, urinary tract and kidney infections, chronic prostate infection, and skin and soft tissue infections. Levofloxacin blocks enzymes called DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which bacteria need to copy their DNA and multiply. Without them the bacteria die.

- Keep a gap of a few hours between Niaquin 500mg Tablet and antacids, iron, zinc or calcium supplements, as they reduce its absorption.
- Avoid strong sunlight while taking it, as your skin may burn more easily.
- Finish the full course your doctor prescribes.
