Infrid 250mg Tablet

Infrid 250mg Tablet contains Cefuroxime 250mg, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Made by Medicraft, it is prescribed for throat and tonsil infections, sinusitis, ear infections, chest infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections and early Lyme disease. Pack size: 10 tablets.

Uses of Infrid 250mg Tablet

Infrid 250mg Tablet is used for bacterial infections of the throat, tonsils, sinuses and middle ear, bronchitis and pneumonia, urinary tract infections, uncomplicated gonorrhoea, and skin and soft tissue infections. The injection form is used for more serious infections and to prevent infection around surgery.

How Infrid 250mg Tablet works

Cefuroxime blocks the building of the bacterial cell wall, so the bacteria break down and die. The tablets are better absorbed when taken after food.

Common side effects of Infrid 250mg Tablet include:

• Diarrhoea
• Nausea or vomiting
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Skin rash

Stop and get medical help straight away if you notice swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, a severe skin rash, or severe or bloody diarrhoea.

Precautions and warnings

• Tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any antibiotic.

Storage
