Uses of Rasmic 250mg Tablet
Rasmic 250mg Tablet is used for mild to moderate pain, and is especially known for relieving period pain (dysmenorrhoea) and reducing heavy menstrual bleeding. It is also used for headache, toothache, muscle pain and pain after minor procedures.
How Rasmic 250mg Tablet works
Mefenamic acid reduces the production of prostaglandins, which cause pain and inflammation and also play a role in cramping and bleeding during periods.

Common side effects of Rasmic 250mg Tablet include:
- Diarrhoea
- Indigestion or stomach pain
- Nausea
- Dizziness or drowsiness
- Skin rash

Precautions and warnings
- Take it with or after food to reduce stomach upset.
- Tell your doctor if you have, or have had, a stomach ulcer, stomach bleeding, asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, or kidney or liver problems.
- Do not take it together with other painkillers of the same type (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen, naproxen or aspirin unless your doctor advises it.
- Avoid it in the last three months of pregnancy, and ask your doctor before using it at any other stage of pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time needed.
