Semozol 40mg/200mg Suspension, made by Semos, is a combination antibiotic. Its active ingredient is Co-trimoxazole (Trimethoprim + Sulfamethoxazole) 40mg/200mg, and it is used for urinary tract infections, chest infections, ear infections, traveller's diarrhoea and Pneumocystis pneumonia. Uses of Semozol 40mg/200mg Suspension

Semozol 40mg/200mg Suspension is used for urinary tract infections, flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, middle ear infections, some gut infections such as traveller’s diarrhoea and shigellosis, and for the treatment and prevention of Pneumocystis pneumonia in people with weak immunity.

How Semozol 40mg/200mg Suspension works

Its two ingredients block two different steps the bacteria use to make folic acid, which they need to grow. Working together, they stop the bacteria from multiplying.

Common side effects of Semozol 40mg/200mg Suspension include:

• Nausea or vomiting
• Loss of appetite
• Skin rash
• Diarrhoea

Precautions and warnings
