Nuberol Duo Tablet is a tablet made by The Searle Company Ltd that contains Paracetamol + Ibuprofen, a combination of paracetamol and an NSAID painkiller. It is used for pain, fever, inflammation, headache, dental pain, period pain and muscle and joint pain. Pack size: 14 tablets.

Uses of Nuberol Duo Tablet

Nuberol Duo Tablet is used for the short-term relief of mild to moderate pain where a single painkiller is not enough. It helps with headache, toothache, period pain, back pain, muscle and joint aches, and pain after minor injuries. It also brings down fever and eases the aches of colds and flu. It treats symptoms and does not treat the underlying cause.

How Nuberol Duo Tablet works

Paracetamol works mainly in the brain to reduce pain signals and lower fever. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory that blocks enzymes called COX, reducing prostaglandins that cause pain, swelling and fever. Together they relieve pain more effectively than either alone.

Possible side effects

Used for short periods, Nuberol Duo Tablet rarely causes problems, but you may notice:

• Indigestion or heartburn
• Nausea
• Stomach pain
• Diarrhoea
• Dizziness
• Headache

Stop taking it and get urgent help if you vomit blood, pass black or bloody stools, develop severe stomach pain, wheezing, swelling of the face or a severe skin rash, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Precautions and warnings

• Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol or other NSAIDs such as diclofenac or naproxen at the same time.
• Avoid it if you have had a stomach ulcer or bleeding, or if aspirin or other NSAIDs have triggered asthma.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have kidney, liver or heart disease, high blood pressure, or take blood thinners.
• Do not use it in the last three months of pregnancy, and check with a doctor before using it earlier in pregnancy.
• Avoid drinking alcohol heavily while taking it, and use it for the shortest time needed.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
