Acasia 250mg Cap contains Azithromycin 250mg, a macrolide antibiotic. Made by CCL Pharmaceuticals Ltd, it is prescribed for throat and tonsil infections, chest infections, pneumonia, sinusitis, ear infections, typhoid fever, skin infections and some sexually transmitted infections. Uses of Acasia 250mg Cap

Acasia 250mg Cap is used for bacterial infections of the throat, tonsils, sinuses, ears and chest, including bronchitis and community-acquired pneumonia. It is also used for skin infections, some sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, and in Pakistan it is often prescribed for typhoid fever. Its short course, often three to five days, makes it convenient.

How Acasia 250mg Cap works

Azithromycin stops bacteria from making the proteins they need to grow and multiply. It builds up in body tissues and stays there for several days, which is why a short course keeps working after the last dose.

Common side effects of Acasia 250mg Cap include:

• Diarrhoea or loose stools
• Nausea or vomiting
• Stomach pain
• Headache
