Arinac Tablets, made by Abbott Laboratories (pakistan) Ltd, is a cold and sinus remedy combining a painkiller and a decongestant. Its active ingredient is Ibuprofen + Pseudoephedrine, and it is used for cold and flu, blocked nose, sinus pain, headache and fever. Pack size: 100 tablets.

Uses of Arinac Tablets

Arinac Tablets is used for short-term relief of cold and flu symptoms when a blocked nose comes with pain or fever. It helps with nasal and sinus congestion, sinus pain and pressure, headache, sore throat, body aches and raised temperature. It eases symptoms while the body fights off the infection, but it does not shorten the illness or treat its cause.

How Arinac Tablets works

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory painkiller that reduces prostaglandins, easing pain, swelling and fever. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that narrows the swollen blood vessels lining the nose and sinuses, which opens the airways and makes breathing through the nose easier.

Possible side effects

Arinac Tablets is suitable for many adults, but it can cause side effects such as:

• Difficulty sleeping
• Restlessness or nervousness
• Stomach upset or heartburn
• Nausea
• Dry mouth
• Headache

Stop taking it and seek urgent help for chest pain, a racing or irregular heartbeat, a sudden severe headache, sudden stomach pain with bleeding from the back passage, black stools, vomiting blood, wheezing or swelling of the face.

Precautions and warnings

• Do not use it without a doctor’s advice if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate or kidney disease.
• Avoid it if you have had a stomach ulcer or bleeding, or if aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers have caused asthma or allergic reactions.
• Do not take it with MAOI antidepressants, other decongestants or other products containing ibuprofen.
• It is not suitable during pregnancy, and you should ask a doctor before using it while breastfeeding.
• Use it only for a few days, and see a doctor if symptoms persist or you have a high fever.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
