Armasure 1gm Injection is an injection made by Medisure that contains Ceftriaxone 1g, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic given by injection. Uses of Armasure 1gm Injection

Armasure 1gm Injection is used for serious bacterial infections, often in hospital. In Pakistan it is commonly used for typhoid fever, as well as pneumonia and other chest infections, meningitis, blood infections (septicaemia), complicated urinary tract infections, gonorrhoea, and infections of the skin, bones, joints and abdomen. It is also given before some operations to prevent infection.

How Armasure 1gm Injection works

Ceftriaxone kills bacteria by stopping them from building their cell wall. It stays in the body for a long time, which is why it is usually given once a day. Armasure 1gm Injection is given as an injection into a vein or muscle by a doctor or nurse, usually in hospital or a clinic.

Possible side effects

• Pain, swelling or redness at the injection site

Precautions and warnings

• It must not be mixed with calcium-containing drips, and it is used with special care in newborn babies.

• Finish the full course your doctor prescribes, even if you feel better earlier. Stopping early can let the infection return and makes resistance more likely.
• Let your doctor know if you have kidney or liver disease.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use Armasure 1gm Injection only after speaking to your doctor.
• Do not share your antibiotics with others or keep leftover medicine for future use.

Storage

Store as directed on the pack, protected from light. Injections should only be prepared and given by a doctor, nurse or other trained healthcare professional. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
