Uses of Benwac Gel 10g

Benwac Gel 10g gel is used to treat mild to moderate acne, especially when there are red, inflamed spots as well as blackheads and whiteheads. Improvement is gradual and can take several weeks, and the skin may look a little worse at first. The two ingredients together work better than either alone and help reduce antibiotic resistance.

How Benwac Gel 10g works

Clindamycin is an antibiotic that stops acne bacteria from making proteins, so they cannot multiply. Benzoyl peroxide releases oxygen that kills these bacteria, helps unblock pores and has a mild peeling effect on the skin.

Possible side effects

Benwac Gel 10g commonly causes some skin reactions where it is applied, such as:

• Dryness and peeling
• Redness
• Burning or stinging
• Itching
• Bleaching of hair, towels and clothing
