Co-Trimoxazole 80mg/400mg Tablet contains Co-trimoxazole (Trimethoprim + Sulfamethoxazole) 80mg/400mg, a combination antibiotic. Uses of Co-Trimoxazole 80mg/400mg Tablet

Co-Trimoxazole 80mg/400mg Tablet is used for urinary tract infections, flare-ups of chronic bronchitis, middle ear infections, some gut infections such as traveller’s diarrhoea and shigellosis, and for the treatment and prevention of Pneumocystis pneumonia in people with weak immunity.

How Co-Trimoxazole 80mg/400mg Tablet works

Its two ingredients block two different steps the bacteria use to make folic acid, which they need to grow. Working together, they stop the bacteria from multiplying.

• Skin rash
