Cofcol Tablet

Cofcol Tablet contains Paracetamol + Pseudoephedrine + Chlorpheniramine + Dextromethorphan + Vitamin C, a multi-symptom cold and flu combination. Made by Abbott Laboratories (pakistan) Ltd, it is used for common cold, flu, fever, nasal congestion, runny nose and dry cough. Pack size: 250 tablets.

Uses of Cofcol Tablet

Cofcol Tablet is used to relieve several cold and flu symptoms at once, including fever, headache and body aches, a blocked or runny nose, sneezing and a dry, tickly cough. It helps you feel more comfortable while the illness runs its course. It is not an antibiotic and does not cure a viral infection.

How Cofcol Tablet works

Paracetamol relieves pain and lowers fever. Pseudoephedrine shrinks swollen blood vessels in the nose to clear congestion. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that dries a runny nose and reduces sneezing. Dextromethorphan calms the cough reflex in the brain, and vitamin C is included as a nutritional supplement.

Possible side effects

Some people experience side effects with Cofcol Tablet. These may include:

• Drowsiness
• Dry mouth
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Restlessness or difficulty sleeping
• Fast heartbeat

Get medical help straight away if you have chest pain, a pounding or irregular heartbeat, a severe headache, confusion, hallucinations, a severe rash, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Precautions and warnings

• Do not take it with other products containing paracetamol, decongestants or cough suppressants.
• Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, or liver or kidney problems.
• Do not use it if you take MAO inhibitors, and check with a pharmacist if you take antidepressants, as dextromethorphan can interact with them.
• It can cause drowsiness, so avoid alcohol and do not drive if affected.
• It is not suitable for young children, and should only be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding on medical advice.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
