Enrocid 120ml Syrup contains Effervescent Antacid, an effervescent antacid. Made by Benson Pharmaceutical, it is used for acidity, heartburn, indigestion and burning urination.

Uses of Enrocid 120ml Syrup

Enrocid 120ml Syrup products, such as fruit salts and fizzy sachets, are used for quick relief of acidity, heartburn, indigestion and the bloated feeling after a heavy meal. Some contain citrate salts that also make urine less acidic, helping to ease mild burning when passing urine. They are meant for occasional relief of symptoms rather than ongoing daily use.

How Enrocid 120ml Syrup works

Most effervescent antacids contain sodium bicarbonate with citric or tartaric acid. When dissolved in water they fizz, and the bicarbonate neutralises excess stomach acid within minutes. Some of the citrate and bicarbonate is absorbed and passed in the urine, making it less acidic.

Possible side effects

Enrocid 120ml Syrup is usually well tolerated for occasional use. Some people notice:

• Burping
• Mild stomach discomfort
