Fooquine 80mg Tablet contains Chloroquine Phosphate 80mg, an antimalarial medicine. Made by Alfalah Pharma, it is prescribed for malaria caused by vivax and sensitive parasites, and amoebic liver abscess. Pack size: 1×1000 tablets.

Uses of Fooquine 80mg Tablet

Fooquine 80mg Tablet is used to treat malaria caused by Plasmodium vivax, P. malariae, P. ovale and chloroquine-sensitive falciparum parasites, and in some cases to prevent malaria. It is also used for amoebic liver abscess.

How Fooquine 80mg Tablet works

Chloroquine builds up inside malaria parasites in the red blood cells and stops them breaking down haemoglobin safely, which kills the parasites.
