Uses of Gyno Travogen Cream 40gm

Gyno Travogen Cream 40gm is an antifungal used on the skin to treat infections such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch and fungal infections in skin folds. Some creams combine it with a steroid (diflucortolone) to calm itchy, inflamed fungal rashes more quickly. Vaginal preparations are used to treat vaginal yeast infection (thrush).

How Gyno Travogen Cream 40gm works

Isoconazole belongs to the azole group of antifungals. It blocks the production of ergosterol, an essential part of the fungal cell membrane, so the membrane becomes leaky and the fungus stops growing and dies. It works against dermatophytes, yeasts such as Candida and some Gram-positive bacteria.

Possible side effects

Only a small amount of Gyno Travogen Cream 40gm is absorbed, so side effects are mostly local, such as:

• Burning or stinging where applied
• Itching
• Redness or irritation
• Dry skin

Precautions and warnings
