Uses of HH Ointment 60gm

HH Ointment 60gm is used for fungal skin infections. Use it exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has advised, and do not use it for longer than recommended.

Ingredients

Zinc oxide, benzoic acid, resorcinol, sulfur, lignocaine, salicylic acid, boric acid, phenol, menthol and dimethyl sulfoxide in white soft paraffin.

How HH Ointment 60gm works

Benzoic acid has an antifungal effect and works together with salicylic acid, which loosens and removes scaly, thickened skin.

Boric acid is a mild antiseptic and antifungal.

Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) helps the other ingredients penetrate the skin.

Menthol gives a cooling effect that relieves itching and irritation.

Possible side effects

Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:

• Dryness and mild irritation, and a slight smell
• Temporary numbness
• Stinging when applied
• Mild redness
• Dryness
• Peeling
• Mild stinging or burning

Precautions

• Do not use it over large areas of skin, and keep it away from healthy skin around warts or patches.
• Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
• Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
