Uses of Ketress Tablet 40mg

Ketress Tablet 40mg is used to treat intestinal worm infections, especially roundworm (ascariasis), and is also active against hookworm. These worms can cause stomach pain, poor appetite, weight loss and anaemia, particularly in children. Specialists sometimes also use it for other conditions, such as certain kidney problems in children, but only under close supervision.

How Ketress Tablet 40mg works

Levamisole acts on the muscles of worms, causing them to contract and then become paralysed. The paralysed worms lose their grip on the gut wall and are passed out naturally in the stools.
