Uses of Medifer Tablet

Medifer Tablet combines thiamine (B1), pyridoxine (B6) and cyanocobalamin (B12). It is used to treat or prevent deficiency of these vitamins and is widely given to support nerve health in people with numbness, tingling or nerve pain, such as in diabetic neuropathy. It works best where low vitamin levels are contributing to the symptoms.

How Medifer Tablet works

Vitamin B1 helps nerve cells produce energy, vitamin B6 is needed to make chemical messengers in the nervous system, and vitamin B12 helps maintain the protective myelin coating around nerves and supports red blood cell production. Together they help normal nerve function and repair.

Possible side effects

Precautions and warnings

• Taking high doses of vitamin B6 for long periods can itself cause numbness and nerve damage, so do not take more than recommended or combine several B6-containing products.
• Tell your doctor if you take levodopa for Parkinson’s disease, as vitamin B6 can affect how it works.
• Numbness and tingling that do not improve should be checked by a doctor to find the underlying cause.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, use Medifer Tablet only after speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
