Nadard Cream

Nadard Cream is a cream made by Atco Laboratories Ltd that contains Capsaicin + Methyl Salicylate, a topical warming pain-relief cream. It is used for muscle pain, joint pain, back pain, sprains and strains, and arthritis pain.

Uses of Nadard Cream

Nadard Cream is rubbed into the skin to relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints, such as backache, stiff neck, sprains, strains and arthritis pain. It produces a warming sensation that many people find soothing. It is for use on intact skin over the painful area only.

How Nadard Cream works

Capsaicin, the active part of chilli peppers, acts on pain nerve endings in the skin and over time reduces their ability to send pain signals. Methyl salicylate is a salicylate related to aspirin; it is absorbed through the skin, helps reduce local pain and inflammation and adds a warming effect.

Possible side effects

Side effects of Nadard Cream mostly occur at the area of application and include:

• Burning or warming sensation
• Skin redness
• Stinging
• Itching or skin irritation

Wash the cream off and seek medical help if you develop blistering, severe burning, swelling, wheezing or breathing difficulty.

Precautions and warnings

• Do not use it if you are allergic to aspirin or other salicylates, or if aspirin triggers your asthma.
• Tell your doctor if you take warfarin, as methyl salicylate absorbed through the skin can increase its effect.
• Do not apply to broken, irritated or sensitive skin, the eyes, mouth or genitals, and wash your hands well after use.
• Do not cover the area with tight bandages or use heating pads, hot baths or saunas just before or after applying.
• It is not recommended for young children, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.

Storage

Store below 30°C and keep the cap tightly closed. For external use only; avoid contact with the eyes unless the product is made for eye use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
