Uses of Panadol Cf Day Tablet

Panadol Cf Day Tablet is used to relieve the main symptoms of colds and flu, including fever, headache, body aches, sore throat pain, blocked nose and sinus pressure. It is a non-drowsy daytime combination. It eases symptoms while the body fights off the infection but does not shorten a viral illness.

How Panadol Cf Day Tablet works

Paracetamol reduces pain and lowers fever by acting on pain and temperature centres in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the swollen blood vessels in the lining of the nose and sinuses, helping to clear a blocked nose and ease sinus pressure.

Possible side effects

Most people have no problems with Panadol Cf Day Tablet. Occasionally it can cause:

• Nervousness or restlessness
• Difficulty sleeping
• Headache
• Nausea
• Raised blood pressure

Seek medical help urgently if you have a fast or pounding heartbeat, chest pain, a severe headache, a skin rash with peeling or blisters, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Precautions and warnings

• Do not take it with any other medicine containing paracetamol, as too much paracetamol can cause serious liver damage.
