Pepso 20mg Tablet is a tablet made by Astra RL that contains Esomeprazole 20mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid. It is used for acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, stomach and duodenal ulcers, H. pylori infection and ulcers caused by painkillers. Pack size: 2×7 tablets.
Uses of Pepso 20mg Tablet
Pepso 20mg Tablet is used to treat acid reflux and heartburn, to heal inflammation of the food pipe (oesophagitis), and to treat and prevent stomach and duodenal ulcers, including ulcers linked to painkillers such as NSAIDs. Together with antibiotics, it is used to clear Helicobacter pylori infection. It is also used for conditions that make too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
How Pepso 20mg Tablet works
Esomeprazole switches off the proton pumps in the stomach lining that release acid. Less acid allows the food pipe and stomach lining to heal and relieves burning and pain.
