How Permecite Oil 60ml works

Benzyl benzoate kills scabies mites and lice on contact.

Permethrin is an insecticide that acts on the nerves of mites and lice, disrupting their nerve signals so they become paralysed and die. Very little is absorbed through human skin, and what is absorbed is broken down quickly.

Possible side effects

Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:

• Burning or stinging, particularly on broken skin
• Itching or mild burning
• Stinging or tingling
• Redness of the skin

Precautions

• Follow your doctor's advice on how long to leave it on and whether to repeat it.
• Follow the instructions on how long to leave it on before rinsing off, and repeat only if your doctor advises.
• Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
• Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
