Uses of Proviron Tablet

Proviron Tablet is used in men whose bodies do not produce enough of the male hormone, a condition known as hypogonadism or androgen deficiency. It can help with related symptoms such as reduced sex drive, low energy and erection difficulties caused by low hormone levels. Doctors sometimes prescribe it for certain types of male infertility linked to low androgen activity. It is not intended for women.

How Proviron Tablet works

Mesterolone is a synthetic androgen that acts on the same receptors as testosterone, helping to replace the missing hormone effects. Unlike injected testosterone, it does not usually suppress the body’s own sperm production, which is why it is sometimes chosen when fertility matters.

Possible side effects

Not everyone gets side effects from Proviron Tablet, but the ones reported include:

• Acne or oily skin

• More frequent erections
• Fluid retention or ankle swelling

Precautions and warnings

• Do not use Proviron Tablet if you have prostate cancer, male breast cancer, or a current or past liver tumour.
• Tell your doctor about any heart, kidney or liver problems or high blood pressure, as androgens can cause fluid retention.
• Your doctor may check your prostate and blood tests during long-term treatment.
• It should not be used by women, and must not be used to build muscle or improve athletic performance.
• Use it only under medical supervision and do not change how you take it without advice.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
