Relaxul 20mg Tablet is a tablet made by Kizen Pharma that contains Esomeprazole 20mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid. It is used for acid reflux (GERD), heartburn, stomach and duodenal ulcers, H. pylori infection and ulcers caused by painkillers. Pack size: 1×20 tablets.

Uses of Relaxul 20mg Tablet

Relaxul 20mg Tablet is used to treat acid reflux and heartburn, to heal inflammation of the food pipe (oesophagitis), and to treat and prevent stomach and duodenal ulcers, including ulcers linked to painkillers such as NSAIDs. Together with antibiotics, it is used to clear Helicobacter pylori infection. It is also used for conditions that make too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

How Relaxul 20mg Tablet works

Esomeprazole switches off the proton pumps in the stomach lining that release acid. Less acid allows the food pipe and stomach lining to heal and relieves burning and pain.

Common side effects of Relaxul 20mg Tablet include:

• Headache
• Stomach pain or bloating
• Diarrhoea or constipation
• Nausea
• Wind

See a doctor if you have severe or watery diarrhoea that does not stop, unexplained weight loss, difficulty swallowing, or vomiting blood or black stools.

Precautions and warnings

• It works best taken before a meal, usually in the morning.
• Long-term use can lower magnesium and vitamin B12 levels and may slightly increase the risk of bone fractures, so use it for as long as your doctor advises.
• Tell your doctor about other medicines you take, especially clopidogrel or blood thinners.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor before using it.
