Uses of Terlip Injection

Terlip Injection is a hospital medicine used in emergencies for bleeding from swollen veins in the food pipe (oesophageal varices), which can happen in people with liver cirrhosis. It is also used to treat hepatorenal syndrome, a serious type of kidney failure that develops in advanced liver disease. It is always given by injection under close medical monitoring.

How Terlip Injection works

Terlipressin is converted in the body into a substance similar to the natural hormone vasopressin.
