Uses of Trichogin 500mg Tablet

Trichogin 500mg Tablet is used to treat infections caused by certain parasites and by anaerobic bacteria (germs that grow without oxygen). Common uses include amoebic dysentery and amoebic liver abscess, giardiasis, trichomoniasis and bacterial vaginosis. It may also be used for some abdominal, gum and pelvic infections and, with other medicines, to clear H. pylori from the stomach. Sexual partners may also need treatment for trichomoniasis.

How Trichogin 500mg Tablet works

Tinidazole enters parasites and anaerobic bacteria and is converted into an active form that damages their DNA. This stops them from multiplying and kills them. It has no effect on viruses and works against only a specific range of germs, which is why it is chosen for particular infections.

Side effects of Trichogin 500mg Tablet are usually mild and short-lived. The more common ones are:
