Xed 500mg Capsule contains Tranexamic Acid 500mg, an antifibrinolytic (anti-bleeding) medicine. Made by Indus Pharma (PVT.) Ltd, it is prescribed for heavy menstrual bleeding, nosebleeds, bleeding after surgery or injury, dental bleeding in bleeding disorders and hereditary angioedema. Pack size: 30 capsules.

Uses of Xed 500mg Capsule

Xed 500mg Capsule is used to reduce heavy bleeding. It is widely prescribed for heavy periods, and is also used for nosebleeds, for bleeding after surgery, dental extraction or injury, and to prevent bleeding in people with haemophilia or other clotting problems. It may also be used to help prevent swelling attacks in hereditary angioedema.

How Xed 500mg Capsule works

Tranexamic acid blocks fibrinolysis, the natural process the body uses to break down blood clots. By keeping clots that have already formed in place for longer, it helps bleeding slow down and stop. It does not change the number of platelets or the clotting factors themselves.

Possible side effects

• Back or muscle pain
