AFS Soap 90gm is used for fungal skin infections. Use it exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has advised, and do not use it for longer than recommended.

Salicylic acid 3%, benzoic acid 6% and sulfur.

How AFS Soap 90gm works

Benzoic acid has an antifungal effect and works together with salicylic acid, which loosens and removes scaly, thickened skin.

Sulfur has antiparasitic, antifungal and antibacterial effects. It helps clear scabies mites, fungal infections and acne spots, and loosens dead skin.

Salicylic acid is a keratolytic, which means it loosens the bonds holding dead skin cells together so they shed more easily. This softens hard, thickened skin such as warts and corns, removes scales and helps unclog pores in acne. It also has mild anti-inflammatory properties.

Possible side effects

Most people use this product without problems. Some may notice:

• Dryness and mild irritation, and a slight smell
• Dryness
• Peeling
• Mild stinging or burning

Precautions

• Do not use it over large areas of skin, and keep it away from healthy skin around warts or patches.
• Do a small patch test first, and keep it away from the eyes, lips, inside of the nose and broken skin unless your doctor says otherwise.
• Stop using it and see your doctor if you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering or a rash.
• Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using it on children, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
