Uses of Ritalin Tablet

Ritalin Tablet is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children aged six and over, teenagers and adults, as part of a wider treatment plan that includes behavioural and educational support. It helps improve concentration and reduce impulsive and hyperactive behaviour. It is also sometimes used for narcolepsy, a condition causing excessive daytime sleepiness.

How Ritalin Tablet works

Methylphenidate blocks the reabsorption of dopamine and noradrenaline in the brain, increasing the levels of these chemical messengers. This strengthens activity in brain areas that control attention, focus and impulse control.
