Uses of Silorap 4mg Capsules

Silorap 4mg Capsules is used in men to relieve urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia). It can improve a weak or interrupted stream, reduce straining and the feeling of incomplete emptying, and cut down on frequent or night-time urination. It eases symptoms but does not shrink the prostate.

How Silorap 4mg Capsules works

Silodosin blocks alpha-1A receptors in the smooth muscle of the prostate, bladder neck and urethra. This relaxes the muscle, widening the passage so urine can flow out more easily. It is fairly selective for the prostate, so it has less effect on blood pressure than some older alpha-blockers.

• It should not be taken with strong medicines such as ketoconazole or itraconazole, and care is needed with other alpha-blockers and erectile dysfunction medicines.
• Stand up slowly, and avoid driving if you feel dizzy, especially when starting treatment.
• Reduced semen is common and harmless, but it may affect fertility while you take it.

Storage
