Uses of Ertuvia M 7.5mg/500mg

Ertuvia M 7.5mg/500mg is used together with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes. Keeping blood sugar within target helps lower the long-term risk of complications affecting the eyes, kidneys, nerves and heart. It is not used for type 1 diabetes.

Ertugliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that makes the kidneys pass extra sugar out of the body in the urine. Metformin reduces the amount of sugar the liver releases into the blood and helps the body respond better to its own insulin.

• Drink enough fluids and keep the genital area clean to reduce the risk of infection.
• Avoid excessive alcohol, as it increases the risk of lactic acidosis and low blood sugar.
• It is not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding; tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
