Uses of Noric 200mg Injection

Voriconazole blocks an enzyme fungi need to make ergosterol, a key building block of their cell membranes. Without enough ergosterol the membrane becomes leaky and unstable, so the fungus cannot grow and spread, giving the immune system a chance to clear the infection.

• Blurred vision or brighter, altered colours
• Skin rash
• Nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea
• Headache
• Swelling of the hands or feet
• Abnormal liver blood tests

Get urgent medical help for a severe or blistering rash, yellowing of the skin or eyes, a fast or irregular heartbeat, fainting, or hallucinations.

Precautions and warnings

• Avoid strong sunlight and use sunscreen and protective clothing, as it makes the skin very sensitive to light; long-term use has been linked to skin cancer.
• Do not drive or operate machinery, especially at night, if you notice vision changes.
• It interacts with many medicines, including some cholesterol medicines, blood thinners, anti-epileptics, HIV medicines and heart rhythm medicines, so tell your doctor about everything you take.
• Your doctor will check liver function, and possibly kidney function and heart rhythm, during treatment.
