Uses of Tarka 2mg/180mg Tablet

Tarka 2mg/180mg Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure in adults whose blood pressure is not controlled by a single medicine. • Dry, tickly cough
• Constipation
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Tiredness
• Swelling of the ankles

Get emergency help if you develop swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, a very slow heartbeat, fainting, chest pain, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Precautions and warnings

• Do not take Tarka 2mg/180mg Tablet if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, and tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
• Tell your doctor if you have heart failure, heart block or another heart rhythm problem, very low blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, or a history of angioedema.
• Do not take it with beta-blockers, certain heart rhythm medicines or potassium supplements unless your doctor has specifically advised it, and mention statins, digoxin, lithium and anti-inflammatory painkillers.
• Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice, which can increase verapamil levels, and limit alcohol.
• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing, and do not drive if you feel dizzy.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it in the original pack until use. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
