Uses of Oxalepsy 300mg Tablet

Oxalepsy 300mg Tablet is used to control partial (focal) seizures, with or without spread to a generalised tonic-clonic seizure, in adults and children. It can be used on its own or added to other epilepsy medicines. It is closely related to carbamazepine but tends to cause fewer interactions with other medicines, and it is taken long term to keep seizures under control.

How Oxalepsy 300mg Tablet works

Oxcarbazepine is converted in the body to an active form that blocks sodium channels in nerve cells. This stops nerve cells firing in rapid, repeated bursts and prevents abnormal electrical activity from spreading through the brain and causing a seizure.

Side effects of Oxalepsy 300mg Tablet are most common when starting treatment and often ease. They include:

• Dizziness
• Drowsiness or tiredness

• Double vision
