Fortecin 625mg Tablet, made by Searle Company Limited, is a penicillin antibiotic. Its active ingredient is Amoxicillin 625mg, and it is used for throat and tonsil infections, ear infections, sinusitis, chest infections, urinary tract infections, dental infections and H. pylori stomach ulcers. Pack size: 1×6 tablets.

Uses of Fortecin 625mg Tablet

Fortecin 625mg Tablet is used for common bacterial infections such as sore throat and tonsillitis, middle ear infections, sinusitis, bronchitis and pneumonia, urinary tract infections, dental abscesses and some skin infections. It is also part of combination treatment to clear Helicobacter pylori.

How Fortecin 625mg Tablet works

Amoxicillin stops bacteria from building their cell wall, so they break apart and die.

• Diarrhoea
• Nausea
• Skin rash
• Thrush (fungal infection) of the mouth or vagina

Stop and get medical help straight away if you notice swelling of the face or throat, difficulty breathing, a severe skin rash, or severe or bloody diarrhoea.

Precautions and warnings

• Do not take it if you are allergic to penicillin.
• Tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any antibiotic.
• Finish the full course your doctor prescribes, even if you feel better earlier. Stopping early can let the infection return and makes resistance more likely.
• Let your doctor know if you have kidney or liver disease.

Storage
